Well, well, well! Mother Nature did not disappoint this past few days! I must agree with SuzieQ - the number of people complaining about the winter weather in IOWA this WINTER is exhausting!
I was in Waterloo for Mark's work Christmas party Friday night and I would venture to say that EVERY person I talked to, known and unknown, rattled off some complaint about the weather.
Are people really surprised at the white stuff coming from the sky - this time of the year -and in this state of the union? Las Vegas - yeah - I might be miffed if SNOW screwed up my plans - but then again - its so pretty in the big scheme. In the big picture. Life is full of these little wonderment's. (I am thinking that's a word.)
A little snow sculpture managed to reach across our front gate over night Saturday! And another drift to the left of that is as tall as I am (second pic)! Aside from the fact it can be time consuming to shovel - I just really have no complaints!

This will likely be a snow cave by winters end! We made a lot of them one year. For what - I really don't know. Maybe just to say that we CAN!

Take a picture of yourself next to the drift. Proof. We need proof.
I agree that snow is pretty. I would complain a whole lot less about winter if I were the only driver on the road besides the plows.
Your word verification: warness- which I would define as a characteristic exhibited by both George Bushes
Proof is on the way my dear minnesotan! On THE WAY! LOL
Oh, and I would have to agree with you about the driving part with regard to "winter". I guess I let that one slip my mind! Lord knows I have spent many nights wide awake worrying about M being on the road. We can get to the moon - but we can figure out how to get around on earth if it snows. Somebody should work a little harder on that.
*scratching head*
I imagine she's furiously throwing snow onto that pile now, so she can take a picture. We're on to you, BK, and your "Yeah, but look how much snow we got!" business.
They really do panic here in town, now. Not sure when that started but it's like a cold, snowy version of the Apocalypse around here, sometimes.
(Captcha word is 'basin'. How snowy!)
The problem that I have no one to take my picture! I have no where to set the camera and do a timer thing - so I will see if M will indulge me tomorrow. Its big - really! LOL
