Empowered!

I attended a Women's Conference on Saturday with Janice of "A Work in Progress". This is the first conference of its kind that I have attended and I am so glad she invited me to join her!

It was held at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls. Becky Tirabassi was the guest speaker. The conference began by lots of singing and at times I felt very close to tears! I was completely moved by the warmth, power and energy filling the room.

Becky talked a lot about the power of prayer and gave endless guidance on how to get the most out of your own prayer life. She was this little dynamo of energy and the entire room hung on her every word!

I have learned some important things about prayer and I walked away with a better grip on my own direction. With most things in life, you can become overwhelmed by the realization that what you DON'T know and understand is a sea compared to the droplet of water that you "get". I understand that the journey is meant to be life long and there is no destination per se. Not on earth, anyway.

One of the things I understand more and more ( in my baby Christian state!) is how your relationship with God and the universe is huge and infinite. It must be woven carefully throughout your entire life, from the most trivial item of the day, to the experiences that we would consider earth shattering.

It was a great day Saturday! I was able to empower my life a little more and I got to spend it with someone very special! Thanks, on both counts, Janice!
