Yesterday we rode the bike around lovely NE Iowa and a little bit of Wisconsin! What fun! It has a been a great weekend. We decided to stop in and see some friends when we were toodling through their town.
No one was home, however, and that is never a good thing when we stop for a visit. Especially, when the door is unlocked. So today I imagine they are still finding little weird things all over their house. If you ever find yourself in this particular situation, I would encourage you to fiddle around with random items that are just within your eyesight.
Mail that was dripping off the counter was wrapped individually in tin foil and placed in the freezer (in clear sight - surely they need their mail.) We were delighted to find foam peanuts in a box on the floor in the dining room. Those came in handy when we found an open puffed Cheetos bag on top of the refrigerator. That was an amusing swap out.
A jar of salsa was swapped out for a candle on a table, the roll of paper towels became a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom off the kitchen, a jar of peanuts became a jar of dog food - basically the same size kibble - another fun find.
Every time they grab a perfectly folded towel from the bathroom cupboard they will also get 1 of 52 playing cards that are hidden randomly around the house. The half bag of potato chips is now filled with indivually wrapped chips for the ultimate freshness. Each chip was wrapped individually in saran wrap and placed back in the bag.
My favorite, however, was the bag of Sara Lee hamburger buns on the counter. In each bun, is a hand written note of wisdom. Messages from beyond that will carry them through the corpuscles of time (or at least through the next meal.) "Sara Lee was a prostitute" happened to be my favorite. It will no doubt enlighten their day beyond measure.
Not bad for a days work! I will be locking my doors for awhile to come.

You are so much fun! I cannot wait to have you for a visit. Just what I need, a little innocent humor.
LOVE YOU!
