We went to some friends house for New Years Eve and stayed the night, since our homes are over an hour apart and who wants to drive home at 1:00 on New Years Eve. We were fine - but I always consider the person I am meeting on the road.
We got home in the morning and found that Jack our German Shepherd died in his sleep. We have no clue what happened. Thinking back, he was not himself the past few days and one of those days I did let him hang in the house for an afternoon. Mark mentioned he thought his one side look bloated the other day, but he just figured he'd have a chance to check it out again in a couple days. This is all we know. Jack was almost 12 and we have had him those entire 12 years. This sucks. Bad.
Rest in peace my ole' walking buddy...
